Training period on biotoxin detection (13 – 24 October 2014)

From the 13th to 24th of October 2014, three experts from the Food Safety and Veterinary Institute of Albania and two experts from Veterinary Faculty University of Sarajevo attended at IZSAM of Teramo a training on biotoxins detection in the framework of CAPS2 project.

After a short presentation of working programme and administrative issues, the trainees moved in laboratory where they  attended practical activities and did the elaboration of the validation dossier.

Partners staff attend a training period in IZSAM laboratories in different fields in order to implement analytical methods for the diagnosis of marine fish and shellfish diseases and check health standards for live mollusks.

The training aims to the reinforcement of diagnostic capabilities and know-how in relation to heavy metals, benzopyrene and other Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) and biotoxins contamination of fish and shellfish produced in the Adriatic sea.
