Training period on Heavy metals detection (26 - 30 May 2014)

The project activities of CAPS2 continue with the training sessions to strengthen the diagnostic capabilities of laboratories partners.

From 26 to 30 May 2014, two technicians from the Croatian Veterinary Institute of Split (Croatia) and one from the Center for Ecotoxicological Research of Podgorica (Montenegro) have attended the training on Heavy metals detection at the Chemistry Unit of IZSAM.

The period of training has been aimed to the implementation of analytical methods for the diagnosis of marine fish and shellfish diseases and check health standards for live mollusks (EU Regulation 853/2004).

After an initial introduction in the classroom, the trainees have attended the IZSAM laboratory for the remaining period of training, and they were able to test practically the indications received from the IZSAM experts on the topic in question.
